The USB Sanitizer is a Raspberry Pi based device that provides a sandbox environment for USB thumbdrives and other USB storage devices.
Plug the USB Sanitizer into your network on an isolation VLAN or DMZ and it will provide a safe and secure way to allow users to copy files from storage devices of unknown health onto your network. The USB Sanitizer copies only configured file types onto local storge, while scanning those files for malware. If malware is found, that file is skipped and a log file is presented that lists the infected files. You can then use SFTP/SCP or a SAMBA share to retrieve files from the USB Sanitizer.
The USB Sanitizer clears any files daily to keep it clean, updates malware signatures daily, and updates the system weekly.
